The blade of this knife features a twisted pattern made of Damascus steel, specifically 1095 and 15N20 alloy steels, hand-forged to create a beautiful pattern with 176 layers. This Damascus steel blade is of excellent quality, providing sharp cutting abilities and a superior edge. The blade has a hardness of HRC 58-60 in the lab and has been hand-sharpened to achieve a sharp edge.

Our Damascus steel is made with a process that involves heating the 1095HC and 15N20 nickel carbon steels together, folding the bar repeatedly to create 396 layers. The blade is then burned in acid, resulting in the nickel turning a satin color and the high carbon turning blackish gray, exposing the layers and creating the distinct Damascus pattern.

Our knives are finished by high polishing the handles and sharpening the blade. Through this process, the acid-burned layer of the handle is buffed off, and the blade edge is sharpened, resulting in a satin finish. By re-burning the tang of the blade near the handles and the edge of the blade, the layers can once again be exposed.

Handle materials available include wood, bone, stag horn, and ram horn, each with different styles such as Kukri, Bowi, and folding. The leather scabbard options include vertical carry, belt loop, and scout carry.
