This is the culmination of everything we have learned about the craft of tool making. We believe it is the ultimate design for a hatchet. The blade is made from high-quality 4140 tool steel, also known as "Ordnance steel" because it is commonly used for making breech and barrel parts for guns and cannons. This steel provides both toughness and edge retention. The blade is ground to within a tolerance of +/- 0.005 inches and designed with a curved shape for optimal cutting and wood splitting. Additionally, we have included a nail/tent stake puller and a patented recessed striking face on the hammer end.

With a weight of 19oz and an 18" handle, the hatchet is perfectly balanced for any job, whether it involves pounding nails or chopping and splitting firewood. The hatchet is equipped with a 19oz 4140 American Steel Head and an 18 inch American Hickory handle. It also comes with a top grain American leather sheath and a razor-sharp, hand-ground edge. This hatchet is the pinnacle of hatchet design.
